Screen turns black for 30 seconds

I got a Radeon 9600 pro gfx card. My problem is that sometimes my screen turns completely black for 25 seconds, then 1 frame is shown, then all black for 5 more seconds and then everything runs smoothly again. I have tried both the newest official ATI gfx drivers and the Omega drivers - same thing. I'm not sure what causes this exactly and whether it is possible to prevent it in any way. Can anyone help me plz?

Do you use any UI mods?

Yeah, I'm with Karmond. I'd unload all UI mods if any and check that first.

Ok I'll try not installing any addons when 1.3.0 hits EU servers

I tried playing 1.3.0 with no UI addons - I still get the 30 sec blackscreen occationally
