I was having a whine the other day about being ganked constantly after the new patch, Hey I know I chose PvP so I deal with it - its just a game after all ;) - and I play alliance - it must be 100 times worse on the horde side, how are you guys holding out?
Does anyone know if the horde will get ranks easier? Its just that with double the alliance players around I figure the horde will need some type of advantage to remain competative?
Its my thoughts that perhaps the honour system should only be implemented in the battlegrounds section of the world? What are everyone elses thoughts?
I have a level 60 Human Paladin who says he goes questing to find fair fights when he cant find fair fights he just ganks lower level horde.
Before the patch he would help fellow guild members do quests and he wouldnt do much PvP. And he would also spend a fair bit of time farming cash for his guild and training alts.
The new patch has given him something new to do and as such newbie hordes are paying the price.
I cant help but think that there needs to be dis-honour with honour - even a level 60 v 55 is not a fair fight - little own a 60 v 48.
Here are the stats :
Thought everyone might be interested in the current realm stats
Ranks are based on percentages, so it makes no difference which side has more players. At any rate, on most pvp servers (where it really matters), the number is biased only slightly toward the alliance.
My personal experience since the introduction of the honor system has been great, always on the lookout for alliance to slay for the horde! Unfortunately there arnt enough alliance on Ner'Zhul to satisfy the hordes thirst for blood.

Definately - I think once Battlegrounds comes out in the next patch the PvP system should balance itself out a bit more naturally.
I personally dont have any probs with the system I can just see how lower level characters ( particually horde) could be getting a bit frustrated.
Today when I was finally able to log on to my server with my lvl 36 mage.(several hours after I downloaded the patch. Blizzard had some trouble getting the servers back online) I immediatly saw a lvl 36 paladin running at me with pvp enabled (Im on a PvE server). I fought him twice, and both fights he was the one who got beaten. The honor-system looked pretty ok, especially because it already looked as if PvE servers would get a bit more PvP. Suddenly one of my friends told me that tarren mill got raided. So I hurried my way over there and I joined the fight. At first the fight was about 40(horde)vs60(alliance). We were winning though, we had the guards on our side so we had nice backup. 200 honor points later, I noticed we got pushed back into the middle of tarren mill. The numbers had changed into 40(horde)vs80(alliance). Most of the lower lvls left and higher lvls joined the raid. It wasnt enough though. Tarren mill got owned in every sense of the word.
It started out as fun, however it turned into hell. I guess its just because the honor-system is new, things will change after a week or so. I think the honor-system can only get better from here. More PvP in PvE servers, but only when you feel like it
Four the last four hours I've been fighting an unending battle in Hillsbrad. For the first two hours I was there, it went well. We did raids to Southshore and then Alliance came to Tarren Mill. Both were always repelled. Then their numbers just grew too large for us to handle. Now our forces are in dissarray and Alliance is everywhere. We are trying to form a small stronghold in the church of Tarren Mill, but so far we have been driven out with pure numbers. We will not falter however! We are the Horde!!
the first 2 hours after the servers were back up, we wiped southshore 5 times, they wiped tarren mill once. numbers were about 160 vs 160 when i left the battle.
i left after we crashed the server (only certain areas went down).
those 2 hours were fun, but barely playable. took 10 seconds to cast an instant spell, 15 seconds to cast a 1.5sec heal.
still, running in, picking a target, killing it, dropping a fire nova & running the hell out seemed to work quite well. (until you get entangle roots, hammer of justice or a hunter conc shot)
not judging blizz yet, since this was just the first day, but i'm afraid they'll have to fix those servers quick or it'll be hell.
Tarren mill got raided again today. It was pretty even because we had the guards on our side. The alliance tried to lure us out fo the town so the guards wouldnt help us. We all decided to go to Hammerfall to raid refugee point and we did :D. The problem was: Hammerfall was under heavy attack. After much arueing we went to loch modan and raided the hell out of the dwarves :D. The sight of hammerfall being "under-control" by alliance wasnt pretty though...
