Gnomish or Goblin Engineering - suggestions?
OK, I do still have some time to decide, but thought I compare the two and see what fits me best.
First off I run a pair of mages, both having engineering. So I could have one goblin and one gnome. But in looking at the bind on pickup items I wonder if keeping consistency in the mage functions might be better. Plus, since Im two-boxing, each guy does the same spell at the same time in almost all cases. Makes things much easier.
The way I see it, if I go gnomish I get the Deathray and Battlechicken.
If I go goblin I get the Mortar and Construction Helmet.
Now the deathray seems ok for most people, as it puts out a huge amount of damage really fast. But Im already a Firemage, so maybe I wont really use it much anyways. Sure I could try it out on some really tough mob, or fire resistant mob. Running a pair of mages I could double deathray, double POM Pyroblast. That would kill pretty much anything that didnt resists I guess.
The battle chicken has a 30min reuse, so I could use him more often, and even have two pets out each, which might make questing easier.
But with the goblin I get the mortar, which actually stuns rather than disorients. Each guy could drop a three second stun, with ok damage. That should help out with double flamstriking I guess. The helmet has the nice fire absorbing ability, coupled with a flame deflector and flame reflector I could be a nighmare to flame using mobs. But then these guys are probably flame resistant already, so i probably dont want to fight them anyways. - scratch the helmet.
So I guess Goblin Mortar vs Gnomish deathray and battle chicken. I guess I am leaning towards the gnomish direction.
Anyone have any suggestions or comments?
Thanks,
Mal
