I've decided one of these classes is going to become my main, I'm after doing some pvp when I get up high, but also I want to be able to get into instances, especially the high level ones. Now on my server the warrior population has skyrocketed, which for a mid level warrior currently is worrying :)
so I thought of the other 3, warlock/ priest holding most of my interest. I know both are an in demand class, priest probably moreso I'd believe? I also know both are good at pvp (provided the right spec), but which will keep me more interested for longer? :chinny:
I like all aspects of pvp in wow, and of course take into account that I want to instance for some nice loot :)
In my opinion warlock is way more fun, and you will surprise people if you get it right and completely destroy them. With a priest in high level in instances you will do nothing but stare at green bars.
I have a 54 priest and 40 lock and really like em both. Here is my take:
In instances, the warlock is a bit more fun. You have so many options as to how to play and help out the group. With the priest, you stare at ppl's health bars which isnt amazingly fun. However, you do get invited all the time and make many friends, which is a plus in my book.
Outside of instances, my vote is DEFINATELY for the priest. My priest kills very fast (i'm shadow specced), has plenty of utility (how can you go wrong with healing yourself, stuns, instant AoE fear), and is good to PVP with. Don't get me wrong, I like the warlock alot, but he doesnt kill as fast, I haven't figured out PVP as well with him, and the soulshards are kinda getting annoying.
It's up to you and just remember to have fun with any class you play. That's the big thing.
Druids are amazing if you know what you're doing. They don't kill fast but are very fun and in PvP are supreme if well played and specced properly.
Priests can be fun but doing instances, MC included, and watching HP bars all day gets VERY boring. I sold my account because of this.
Warlock seems great too, for both PvE and PvP but it also seems like a class that takes a lot of patience and understanding to be successful.
Warrior is fine, I wouldn't worry. Just because there are a lot of Warriors doesn't mean they are good. One good Warrior is what people want, not 1000 bad ones. So if you want to play your Warrior, go ahead. Work at him, learn the class, play well, gear up and you'll have no trouble getting into decent guilds/groups; especially when you make good impressions. And Warriors are far from bad in PvP.
If you want people to love you...go priest. If you want people to hide behind you...go warrior. If you want everybody to point and laugh at you...go warlock. And if you want everybody to misunderstand you...go druid.
And if you want everybody to misunderstand you...go druid.
haha. I love joining a group for like ZF or Maraudon and someone saying that I can tank as a druid... No... I really can't. Especially with a group full of damage dealers.
Even a completely feral spec'd druid would have trouble holding aggro.
I have tried all classes, and I have to say that, the warlock caught my eye real fast, it is more of a challenge than a priest, or warrior, and cant heal very well, but if you know your stuff, you can take down an opponent in a matter of time. The only problems I can think of right now, are that the warlock takes a lot of mana for his spells in the beginning of the game (thatll wear off eventually) they cant heal, and they dont exactly get that much stamina, unless you get an enchanter to enchant your clothing EVERY TIME YOU GET NEW CLOTHING, advice, keep your warrior.
Then again, if you play priest, your safest bet is to go solo for the most part, you may not be very revered in bg (unless youre a shadow priest) but, as said before, staring at green bars all the time gets VEEEEEEEEERY boring after awhile. If you want to be able to heal your group/raid members and let them kick the a§es of your enemies while you stay back and heal, as if you were a walking medical kit, then get a holy priest. eventually, you will also get an attack (cant remember the name right now) that will cause 400 damage to the enemy non-crit, I got it at lvl 20.
But, if you want to do everything the easy way, youre gonna want to keep your warrior, they can aggro, wear mail, kill enemies with mele attacks without having to worry about having too little mana, theyre the best choice if you dont need ranged attacks to defeat enemies and you can get close enough to use battle charge (or whatever its called) before the enemy notices you every time you go into battle on PvP, keep your warrior.
Then again, if you want to be able to use both leather armor AND spells, both mediocre healing and not so much better attack spells, go druid, youll be best off when grouping in bg, because you can heal party/raid members with not so much as pet aggro, as well as kill enemies with melee attacks (bear form) sneak attacks (cat form) and spells against your enemies. If you think you can manage all that, then druid is your safest bet.(a little hint, use melee attacks on spellcasters, they wont be able to charge their spells as quickly.)

Nothing easy about playing as a Warrior. It takes a lot more strategy then most classes. no battle healing besides potions, few ways to escape, little crowd control...
very rewarding to play, but I get frustrated when I solo and have to deal with adds.
