Since I also have sort of missed this, I now got the incentive to write up a quick one. Download this file here: http://www.wirum.net/share/wwndata_search_fx.zip and unzip it to your C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins folder (if that's where you installed Firefox).

To Rush/Anu:

If you look at the .src file you'll notice a section at the bottom looking like this:
Code:
<browser
	update="http://www.loadedinc.com/files/wow/wwndata.src"
	updateIcon="http://www.loadedinc.com/files/wow/wwndata.png"
	updateCheckDays="3"
>
I put that there if you want to upload the files there (since that's where your client resides) and make changes to them when needed. Changing the icon comes to mind quickly as that's just a small version of the logo on the site.

In other words, feel free to use this as you wish.

As always, scan for viruses, check the code for malicious stuff and all if you wish. It's a plain text file, so easily opened in notepad.

For those that are not familiar with search plugins for Firefox, when you unzip it to the specified folder above and you can't see it, click the little google icon in your upper right corner and select "WWNData" from the list. Type your search-term and press enter. You don't have to be at the WWNData site to do this, it will take you to it as soon as you press enter. You don't have to be logged in at the WWNData site to view the search results, but you do need to log in if you plan to have a look at any of the characters you may find in your search.

Just had a look...

Nice work! That really really handy! Slowly but surely we are moving towards a thottbot free world.....

Is there some way to get it to install automatically like other search engines?

Alos I might suggest put this as new Thread and Sticky it to the top...but having it install from the WWNData webite might be an idea first...

Also it can be submitted to the moz search plugin site and updated from there, but I'd rather Rush or Anu or cybrey did that, since it's their thing after all.

I did the exact same thing before coming here to realize you've done it already :). I do have a suggestion.

To bwirum:
It would be prudent to add the following line to the search-section your plugin:

Code:
<input name="sourceid" value="Mozilla-search">
This way the wwndata project can get statistics on how many people are using the searchbar.

This is a very important feature to me also, so I hope it gets added to the whole "wwndata package" thing. :)
