Outdoor PvP is the most fun you can have in this game. BGs are a good rush too but they dont compare. I joined the RP-PvP servers when they started. We were having a tribe meeting followed by a ritual, then marched in formation to the crossroads. Once we got here we heard the night elves had been attacking. We decided to charge to the lands of Ashenvale. On the way we saw some trolls walking slowly north, that we had been previously having a rather heated debate with, they belonged to a Guild known as The 2nd Gurubashi Empire. As we ran through their ranks expecting to be greeted unkindly they began to spped up and stay alongside us, we must of been at least 100 strong. That night we put our differences aside and worked together to beat the alliance! We eventually reached a spooky place called darkshore and travelled along the paths, it seemed strangely quiet. As we neared Auberdine Hundreds of night elves lining the paths revealed themselves, they had been shadowmelded and watching us the whole time! We were surronded. We fought valiantly but were eventually separated and had to retreat.
I can honestly say i have never had more fun in any computer game, it was so atmospheric and was like a staged action of a computer programmer when they simultaneously un-shadowmelded right near us. There were posts on the realm forums alreay about how fun it was :) Also the server was very new so the max levels were like 30.
I hope more outdoor PvP can be encouraged, perhaps being able to take over a town such as the crossroads by holding a flag/banner in the centre for long enough, bringing much honour to your raid team. Lowbies should still be able to turn in quests though.
