Lagging Issue (Not Server)

Hello!

Recently when I play WoW, it's quite laggy to the extend that even speaking to the vendors will spike me =(
My CPU is always making those .. noise when you lag.

Here's my computer spec :

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor
3000+
1.79Ghz
448 MB of Ram
ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series

I'm not a hardware guy (I'm only well versed in softwares and graphics stuffs =) ) so I'm alien to computer specs and such lolz.

I notice when I install Cosmo UI, there's a significant lag, so I guess it's one of the problems.

I know the server recently is laggy (for me that is), but I wanna know if my computer is part of the lag issue =)
If so, then I don't think I even dare to try out PvP or else I'll be laggy forever ^^"

ps: Should I remove Cosmo to reduce the lag-ness?

Thanks for viewing =)

The one thing that screams at me is your RAM.

An odd number for starters (would investigate) and that fact it's less than 512... more RAM would help a lot and explain why a UI Mod is slowing you down...

Upgrade your RAM for sure, and get rid of COSMO, it's a pain in the rear.

Try CT_mod or something instead.

Cosmos does perceptibly slow down the system for sure. But you can mitigate that by turning off as many of the Cosmos features as you can, that you don't use.

Your system is so-so for WoW. Just looking at the specs tells me that you should try turning down some of the graphical detail to speed things up a bit. The amount of memory you have isn't great - bit of an odd number. I'm willing to bet your graphics card is stealing some of the memory and reserving it for itself, which you can tweak in the BIOS. But stepping up the memory will help out some of the choppiness.

Thanks for the replies~

Guess I gonna upgrade my computer during Jan - Feb =)

Was low on budget when I built this PC (Someone's help haha) and didn't expect to play WoW :xmas6:

So is there any recommendation for upgrades?
I'll most probably upgrade my processor and graphics card other than RAM.
(If I still have enough haha. Since these 2 are expensives .. and need to pay my school fees =( )

Any suggestions on what should I buy? I'm a hardware idiot >.<

Thanks once again~

Processor is fine.. RAM is the main objective, whereas the Vid Card is a secondary objective for you. WHich vid card to get.. Purely depends on budget and taste. Some love ATI's, others love NVIDIA's... *shrug*
