Version 1.9.0.3. Release Notes ( use this to report bugs )

New Features
  • We have added the necessary code to start logging Instance releated information. You should start to see that info appear on the website once we are ready with the corresponding pages

Changes

WWNData Specific
  • Fixed a bug where items didn't get their 'Bind on Equip' flag sent to the server.
GetWoW Specific
  • Fixed a bug where Passive spells on items were not sent to the server. The Passive spells in question were spells / bonusses which you receive for equiping an item.
  • Fixed a bug where items didn't get their 'Unique' ( 'Einzigarti' ) flag sent to the server.
  • Fixed a bug where items didn't get their 'Charges' ( 'Aufladunge' ) sent to the server.
All Data Sites
  • Fixed a bug where Passive spells on items didnt get their Spell Prefix sent to the server ( 'Use :', 'Equip :', 'Chance on Hit :', 'Benutzen:', 'Anlegen:', and 'Trefferchance:' )
  • Fixed a bug where the bonus to Block on Shields were not sent to the server
  • The Client now uses an INI file to store some application settings instead of the registry.
  • The Client will now store the Application settings each time a change to the settings is made, instead of only saving the settings when you terminate the client
  • The LUA will now also log all Base Item info for any item which your character carries ( Inventory and Equipment )

Website Changes

Search result page formatting revamped to now inlude mob locations and also coords for quick reference.

Improved accuracy on mob locations erradicating incorrect locations on maps with new system.

Since we removed all use of the Windows Registry in this version, it will be very important that you redo your configuration of the client correctly with this new release :

- Download the Installer
- Install everything
- Run the Client
- Log on to the WWNData ( Live ) server
- Go to the Windows System Tray and locate the WWN Data Uploader icon ( black icon with a yellow W ).
- Right click on the item and pick Options form the menu that aprears
- Use the options screen to indicate where WoW is installed on your machine. If you did the default setup this should be 'C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\'

Ok, now the client should be ready to use. Please also make sure to check the following when you start up WoW :

- On the char select screen, click the AddOns button and make sure our AddOn is enabled.

Regards,

Annunaki

P.S. : Until Rushter is back the new installer won't be available on the normal server. You can find it at http://wwndata.worldofwar.net/instal...eInstaller.exe

1.9.0.3. is just a quick fix for the List Index out of bounds error some users reported since 1.9.0.1. I just encountered it on my machine as well, so I fixed it immediately.

You either need to have a PC running the WWNData Uploader and transfer over the "wownetexport.lua" file from your "/World of Warcraft/WTF/Accounts/<your user name>/SavedVariables/" folder, or do the same using Virtual PC.

FYI, it seems that the List Index Out of Bounds Error is now fixed and my information is uploading just fine. Thanks for the great fix!

The program thinks it's v1.9.0.1 and is forever asking me to download and install v1.9.0.3.

Even if I do download and install it using the program it still tells me that update v1.9.0.3 is available to download, and asks me if I want to download it.

Help!

Edit: Oopsie.
Somehow missed the link in the second post
Downloaded and installed from there and now all is fine

With this version of the client as well as the previous, I'm getting this error when trying to log in to the client:

Access violation at address 00ACD30F. Write of address 00ACD30F

Someone reported this in January - I can see the post in this forum - but there was never a response to that bug report.

I can't use the client at all.

It is very difficult to me to solve a problem if I can't reproduce it at all :-(

When exactly are you getting that error. What exactly are you doing ? Can you log in to wwndata using the same info as you use in the client ? Do you have a FireWall ? Are you sure the FireWall doesn't block the upload client ? What version of Windows are you running ?

The more information I have, the better, maybe then I can reproduce the problem on my side and try to solve it.

I'm sorry - normally, I provide much more information on such issues (I've done tech support for 14 years...I know how this works) but it was late and I was tired. :)

WinXP Pro SP2, internal firewall turned *off* but I have a Linux machine running its own firewall.

The error happens when I try to log on to the client - it installs with no errors, and after installation it shows up in my list of AddOns when I launch WoW.

However, I get that error if I use my WOWData username/password to log on to the client at any point; if I play WoW, log out, right-click on the WOWData client icon and attempt to upload, it says "You must log in first" and gives me the login window. I fill in the data I used to create my WOWData account, and the same error occurs.

I'm seeing no unusual events in my firewall logs - which I would expect, if the local machine were generating port/packet activity the 'wall didn't like.
