New server for hardcore RP

I was going to post this on the blue forum, until I found out my account had expired. Shows my hyped-ness of WoW right now I suppose. Might not be a such a bad thing though, since I really hate spending lots of time wipping of a post and all I get for it is a halfassed reply from someone reading an very selective part of my post, misunderstanding even that, and figuring flaming is the best way of making sense of the situation.

Anyway, I've seen this kind of suggestion posted before, and not rewarded with a blue, but the thought was still incredibly good.

The main thought is that it's not really morally correct to change an already existing server significantly, and for the new content needed a higher monthly fee might be required. This in turn would discourage griefers and such from abusing the system.

From that point on, there's a huge number of suggestions you can make to changing WoW, from GM-run RP events to group/chat ability under certain circumstances with the other faction(as well as ability to attack your own faction of course).

My personal suggestions to add to the list concerns using players to run things, and if you do this right, GMs wouldn't even need to suprevise too much. This can, and has been done in other mmorpgs, so it's not an impossible feat to accomplish. Using players to enhance their own game expericnce is in WoW a almost completely untapped resourse. We could get an everchanging, on going story, without adding new epics or creating brand new areas, just by using players' imagination.

The first suggestion which springs to mind conerns the government in WoW. While Thrall and who-ever-actually-rules-the-alliance might best be represented by GMs, a council might well be added on both sides. Currently, there is an debate about adding an Earthen Ring, to the server Earten Ring, and it saddens me to see how utterly powerless such a council would be in WoW today. People tend to RP only with people they know and trust, since other people might as well stop RP, or "power-RP", if faced with a situation where the story might demand something of them that they wouldn't want to see happening. This behaviour requires such official positions to have some kind of authority, and also for the public to generally have some faith in their council.

Other positions might be added as well, a real Stormwind Watch for example. What positions to open might be run by the said council, and then be represented to the faction ruler. WoW isn't a democracy, so just having votes about things like that would kind of undermine the story aspect.

I'll leave it at that, if I get any replies or critisism, I'd gladly continue my arguing, but until then a huge post just scare people away.

Suggestions like this would of course add another depth to WoW. Or perhaps "another" fails to fit in in the previous sentance.
The truth is that WoW is marketed as a mmo-RPG- and very little content from blizz actually justifies the RPG part.

Personally, grinding in all forms, for epix, rep or honor, gives me as much satisfaction as playing chess with myself. I don't really like chess either
