What if we could have two crafting and one gathering skill

Reason I propose this is because when I turned 60, I got rid of skinning and took up alchemy to buff myself and make some money in the AH. But it literally broke my heart when I put away my skinning knife into my bank vault, almost felt like losing a part of me. Now it is not the same when I down a beast mob and see "skinnable" highlighted in bright red.

Why couldn't we have two crafting skills and one gathering skill and then one tetiary skill or our choosing (cooking, first aid, fishing). Is that too much to ask? Would it ruin the economy?

/flashback to Closed Beta times when it was possible to have every profession you wanted.

You should've seen the uproar in the CB forums when they announced plans to limit it to two professions. The doomsayers all predicted that this would indeed ruin the game. =D

I could see why they would put a cap:

Significantly high extinction rate of wildlife
Empty nodes
Dry and barren land devoid of vegetation

But I would like to keep the prices of LW crafting down. It is bad enough to pay 60G for black dragonscales to make the chest piece, but the 3 to 4G I drop for the leather I can easily skin would make a nice profit instead.
