scratchy soundcard? please help.
hi, i wasn't sure where to put this post so i just put it in here. I used to use skype with a headset and mic to talk to a friend while we play WoW. Now after about 2 months off, i come back and try to use the same set up and my voice sounds extremely scratchy through the mic, i try a different mic and nothing changes, finally i go into sound recorder and just hit record with no mic in and the scratchiness is still there, so its must not be the mic, but my sound card? does anyone know how i could possibly fix this scratchiness in my computer when it uses mics?
