Is this part of Tuesday maintenence or...?

My apologies if this is a stupid question. I am having difficulty logging in, and I'm wondering if this is a standard Tuesday thing, or something is going wrong with my computer or account.

I open the program, log in.....and get taken to the "select realm" page. Well, I don't want to select, I want to be on Khadgar, like usual! But I ask it to suggest anyway, thinking I can just get to Khadgar from there, but no dice, the list of realms is blank, and stays so no matter how long I wait for it to load.

Dangit, I'm actually gonna have to do housework or something if I can't get this thing working!

Welcome to tuesday maintenance. It is like this every tuesday for about 6 hours, unless there is a patch in which case it will be even longer.

First, welcome to world of warcraft. I hope you enjoy it as much as the rest of us.
This is normal Tuesday maintains in which Blizzard brings the servers down. They are normally down for 6 to 8 hours and will be back up around 1 pm central time.

Yes, Tuesday is maintenance day on the North American realms. Normal scheduled uptime is 11am Pacific. I don't bother trying until about an hour after that.

Thanks so much for the quick replies, sorry for such a newb-ish question. Glad to know nothing's wrong with my system. I guess this means Tuesdays will officially become laundry days.
