Question Sluggishness in the game

Hello fellow members!

I have bought WoW yesterday and installed everything. The installation went smoothly and also the account creation. I have made a user name and have designed my character. Then i enter the game and everything looks ok. The movement is mostly smooth but sometimes becomes sluggish. I have not experienced this problem with games like HL2 or Doom 3.

My Hardware is as follows:

Siemens Amilo 3848 Laptop
2.0Ghz Intel Centrino on Intel I915 platform
2x1024 MB of DDR2 533 Mhz Memory in Dual Channel
2x80 SATA 5400 rpm drives in Raid 0 16K Stripe Size
nVidia GeForce 6800Go (364MHz Core and 644 Mem)
17" 16:10 Widescreen display with 1440x900 native resolution
Windows XP Home SP2 with ALL updates.

I have tried the game in several resoltions but only the 1440x900 resoltion is satisfying to look at. The others seem to lack smoothness and textures.

I have attached the DirectX Information file for you members to look at.

I will be greatfull for any information given.

Best regards

Florian W.

Are you running off the battery on with it plugged in, i play WoW on a laptop and when using it "unplugged" the game tends to jerk slightly
