It has been three thousand years since the great Boreholes were closed, and the Dark Pantheon was destroyed. The world was left in ruins: the entire Underdeep collapsed, the Acid Pits dried up, the Great Temple was obliterated, and the entire race of the kalkoran was decimated. Now though, the world has been born anew. Everything is as it once was, plus new technologies, magics, and the gaarani were discovered. There is one small problem though: the Dark Pantheon is back, and now has a taste for revenge as well.

ok so my entire DnD knowledge comes from Baldur's Gate so if this is a very rules intensive rp then I will need some guidance.
Name: Kerrik Lysandi
Race: Elf
Gender: Male
Class: Theif
Age: 231 (Elves are immortal right? if not then 23)
Physical Description: Kerrick is tall for an elf and very thin. He dresses wildly and acts the same way. He believes that wearing bright garish clothing will make people not believe that he is a criminal. In this he is partly correct, people do not notice him as being a threat, but if he is spotted he is easy for the police to catch. He has short hair and a happy face, and a great singing voice. He spends many a night in a tavern drinkingand singing with his friends. Kerrik is very agile and charismatic, and is moderatly strong
Personality Description: Kerrik thinks that he has the right to do whatever he wants to fulfil his own goals. He can be quite devious and can often be seen putting on shows on the streets in order to lower peoples guard while he is around. His goal in life is to stash away as much money as he can in order to retire young. although he is a thief he is very careful about giving his word. If Kerrik promises to do something he will do it in the time that he says. He is also loyal to his friends, once he has made a friendship nothing will pull him away from his new friend.
Equipment: Kerrik has two concealed daggers for when he has to fight, and also has some darts that he makes poison for. He wears bright extravagant clothing, and no armour, as he feels it slows him down. His boots are fine leather and very soft so that he can walk quietly.
Background: Born into a middle class family of elves Kerrik never liked the forest, he learned all the elven ways but as soon as he could move away from his parents he did. When he got to the city he realized that the ways of the forest would not help him in the urban sprawl. Realizing that the stealth of the forest could help him as a thief he went to the cities thieves guild to apply for a job. He was lucky and was accepted and mentored by a senior thief. Kerrik learned how to be a preformer to entertain people and take their money away from them. He also learned the basics of fighting. After a while he decided to try to make it on his own, but he kept many friends in the guild and still did jobs for the guild in order to keep good will.
Looks: Sofie is a centaur with a soft-furred brown lower body, then going towards a tanned colour for the upper torso. She has long, blonde hair and deepsea-blue eyes. Her tail has the same colour as her hair. Her clothing consists of a highly decorated bra and she always wears a flower in her hair. She carries a longspear on her back and has a small pouch hanging by a thread around her waist.
Personality: Sofie is very shy, but opens up once she gets to know the people she meet. She always helps people in distress and will not hesitate to use her capabilities for good. She rarely thinks about herself, except in the morning when she comes out of her nights sleep, then she'll do anything to look pretty in the waters reflection. She is fascinated by nature and all living things around her (so she really hates undead things). Most of the time she is admiring herself in the mirrors of water at lakes or small ponds.
Equipment: a longspear, a pouch around her waist, a flower in her hair and a couple of highly decorated bra's.
Background: born in the wild, living in the wild and relying on nature to give her strenght and prosperity. As a "child" she played alot in the woods, always down a different path. until one day, she took a path she never saw before and saw a wounded creature. She called for help but noone would answer. She searched some herbs, soem leaves and tried to help the poor thing for as far as she could, but it was no use. The creature died only minutes after she tried. She wouldn't let this happen again and started praying to the forest spirits in order to grant her the ability to help those in pain and need. She recieved the arcane gift of becoming a healer, Someone who is specialized in helping those who are physically hurt and maybe someday, even bring back those who have died shortly. She now travels the world to aid those with pain and sorrow, her first visit to every city is always to visit it's hospital. So is her life as she chose it to be.
These look good, and all we have to do now is to wait for about 4 more people, then set meeting times. For the centaur, i suggest making it some kind of cleric.
To Entauru: no, this will not be rules intensive, mostly storytelling.
sory to interrupt, I just wanted to add some observations to your dispute. I am not rolling a char yet, but I might do it later...
In Warcraft RP, the DnD Cleric class is termed 'Healer'. As the whole Warcraft universe, this is intended to show, that in WOW there are entire races worshipping no gods, yet possessing divine magic.
WOW 'Priests' are a prestige class of Healers, according to cure rules.
All healers and priests are essentially equivalent to DnD Clerics with the condition of having the following 2 domains: HEALING (Holy) and PROTECTION (Discipline). Evil priests/healers have a different ruleset, allowing them to cast 'inflict' spels, instead of 'healing' (equivalent to Shadow school).
So, in conclusion, your Healer might actually be equivalent to a Cleric having access to the Healing and Protection domains. These are almost synonyms.
as arrinaya is saying, that is the entire description of the healer class. a healer is a cleric specialized in the 2 domains of health and protection. no other domains are allowed for this class.
but arrinaya is also wrong in some sort. a cleric has access to lots of domains which allow him to chose a wide variety of spells. this is where a healer gets its limits. healers don't have damage spells. they only heal and protect, they don't hurt anyone (except undead)
that's gonna be good, cause there's probably gonna be some undead, and the party will most definitely need a good healer. everything looks good. btw here's my char:
Name:Thimble Race:Gnome Gender:Male Class: Sorcerer Age:57 Physical Description: Thimble is somewhat tall for a gnome, and he's got very muscular shoulders and legs. He's totally bald, and entirely clean shaven. He also has piercings on his ears and lower lip. He dresses lightly, usually wearing just a leather vest, pants, a sash, sandals, a facemask, and a case for his quarterstaff. Personality Description: Thimble may appear very grumbly, but he's actually a very nice guy. He has a love of food, calligraphy, magic, and animals. He occasionally has his "bursts" though. During this time, he is extremely irritable, and prone to drinking large quantities of mead. The good thing is, this period generally lasts about 3-5 days. Afterwards, he is back to being himself. He is a very light sleeper, with tendencies to fall asleep in the weirdest of places. He also likes to read. A lot. Equipment: Thimble carries his usual set of clothing, a small sack w/ spell components on his belt, and a small pouch w/ about 10 shuriken. Other than that, he also wears a cloak and facemask when in the wilderness. Background Story: Thimble was born in the capitol of the gnome nation: Underhaven. Throughout most of his youth, he spent time poring over old tomes in the library, perfecting his sorcerous abilities, and learning the cooking trade from his great grandmother, whom happens to be a bronze dragon.
He discovered these abilities when he was about 17. He was visiting his great grandmother, when she called him into her "special room", the room she always kept locked. When she opened the door, Thimble was amazed at all the treasure spread out all over the floor, yet even more amazed at the enormous stone platform in the center. His great grandmother walked up onto the center of the platform, and the most awesome thing he'd ever seen happened: his great grandmother transformed into a dragon. He was astounded by this, asking himself why she would've hid this from him. She then whispered 6 words into his ear that would change his life forever: "This means you are a sorcerer." After this, his grandmother trained him in the ways of arcane magic, and even helped him summon his snake familiar, Ryd. He is now a full fledged sorcerer, preferring to cast such spells as acid splash, lightning bolt, and burning hands.
