How do you make a Raid Group?

I've been in them plenty of times, and have used the raid chat ... but never knew how they are created and how you move people from group to group; so I guess I'm looking for a link to Raid101.

Create a party.
Press o
Go to the raid tab
click on the "convert to raid" button

Voila. Easy as pie ;) Then you can, as raidleader, promote people so they can invite too, switch people around between groups by draggin their names, have certain people have floating icons above their heads and whatnot.

HoD

As a note, you can use the raid symbols in a 5man party along with a raid... I was using them in BRD this weekend... made it easy to take down the dark iron highway since all the darn dwarves look the same =]

I've not seen the icons in use yet. Can only the raid leader set these? They can be seen by all in the raid?

Correct, the raid leader sets these icons and they're seen by everyone in the raid. Actually anyone who has been "promoted" can set the raid icons... but mainly it's the raid/party leader.

The icons can also be seen through terrain. This means that if someone sets a raid icon on a mob who is around the corner from you, you can still see the icon.

If you target the mob, you will see the icon on top of the target's head. This is highly useful to make sure you targeted the right one.

The icons can be put on monsters or players heads.

Putting icons on the MT's head on AV is useful... gives us healers something to look for to heal.

And as I mentioned my above post, these might be called "raid" icons, but they're fully usable in a 5man party.
