A silly idea for a new Gnomish engineering item: The Gnomisch Parachute. A bit the same as the Parchute cloak but the idea is a trinket that let's you jump of bats, gryphons etc between fligthpaths. Would help greatly to shorten your travel time when you are actually passing the place you want to go to but have to land at a FP miles away.
Description would be something like this:
Ultrasafe Gnomish Parachute
Use: Abandons current means of flying transport and delivers user safely to the ground.
"yank the white chain, when chute doesn't open, pull red emergency chain"
The parchute should have a pretty high chance (maybe 33%) of not "opening" and just letting the user plummet head first into the ground.
Problem: many areas between FP's should not be reached by players (IF airport for one) and it would be unwanted if you could get here by parachute.
Solutions: 1. Simply let the parachute not work here or 2. Change the Flightroutes to allow for dropping everywhere.
I know the item is probably not feasible but it would be kinda cool, wouldn't it?
