Ok so Ive been wondering for a while now what the difference is between the yellow and white damage number I see whenever I hit a target. Any answers here???

Not sure, but I think white is your basic attack and yellow means it's an ability, for example my hunter's autoshot comes up white, but multishot is yellow. Pet attacks are orange.

white dmg = natural base attacks.
wanding (post 1.12), normal strikes, autoshot all count as white dmg.
yellow dmg = named attacks
Everything else :)

My impression is that damage is color-coded.

I think green is nature damage, purple is shadow damage, red might be fire damage, and blue is cold damage. Not sure what colors arcane and holy are.
