hunter specific ideas

what i would like to see for hunters:

the ability to see the timers for buffs/debuffs on our pets, and the ability to have our tracking and gathering skills both on the minimap at once. it seems unfair to have to choose between tracking dragonkin in burning steppes to avoid the drakes and searching for herbs to make money... i would think this would carry over to the dwarven treasure finding skill as well, though i haven't played a dwarf long enough to know how that really works.

As a work around for the tracking/gathering issue, you can install Gatherer then have tracking up. It won't be perfect but it will at least let you know where you have found nodes in the past.

If you can't see the dragons to avoid them, uninstall.

Haha precisely.

Hunters complain way too much about this. Its an ability, not a wtfpwnzor spy ability. Other players get by fine without it....make a choice. You can see one at a time. Choose wisely.

I would agree that if you cant avoid them like other players uninstall. But I do agree this feature should be built in. Hunters are supposed to be able to track living things, sure others get by but this is a talent built into our class, chosing a profession should not gimp our class abilities. I believe the rule should be only 1 hunter tracking and 1 trade tracking can be active at one time. This could be implimented using different color markers pretty easily I would think.

Yes, it's an ability. Just like other classes have abilities. If you were a rogue - herbalist, how would you feel if your herb tracking didn't work while stealthed ? <or apply as appropriately to other classes>

I believe the OPs point was that a class ability should be separate from a proffession ability.

Are you one of those folks who cause emotional trauma to their RL pets by dressing them up as bride and groom to take "cute" pictures by any chance? ;)
