The Black Guild of Azeroth(Open/Serious RP)

The Black Guild is an organization that has been around since the first discovery of Azeroth by the Burning Legion. The Guild has divisions on all of the planets that the Legion comes in contact with. It is also how the Legion handles it's business, making things easier to control.

The Guild is highly secretive. Only kings and the strongest of warriors have even heard the rumor. Although it has it's part in almost every crisis ever to befall Azeroth, the Guild itself is kept secret to the denizens of Azeroth. The only little bit of information that might lead to it's discovery is the Guilds motto: "Life goes on, yet death shall prevail."

Secretive, yes, but not small. The Black Guild has uncountable numbers of various spies and general wrong doers who mostly are not even real people. Creations of magic, and perfectly camouflaged. These magical beings were created by Azien to be able to keep connections in every part of the world. Just about every town, horde, alliance, or otherwise, has one of these creatures. All of the lesser members of the guild, and some of the higher ups, have the Guilds' insignia magically hidden on their left palms. Only by saying the Guilds motto and the responding answer (Then let death come, and I shall be it's conqueror), will reveal the hidden image.

Now that the Guilds' leaders are gone, the Black Hand has decided to act by itself.. The hand made the Guilds' first public appearance; the Hand destroyed Stormwind. Erem and Marakil formed their armies and brought stormwind to it's knees. This amazed and frightened everyone, especially members of the alliance. This new and powerful enemy is now threatening Ironforge. The humans are devastated, their last bastion of power is gone, their king is missing, and they have no where to retreat to other than the Hands next target. Stormwind fell so quickly to the Hands’ might that the Alliance has asked for help from the Horde, saying that once ironforge falls, the horde will be next in line. The horde have yet to reply, and the Black Hands armies draw ever closer to Ironforge.

--The Black Guild's Sections--

-The Black Hand-

Erem - Leader of the Black Hand, Lordaeron | Erem was once a great paladin, his story is close to Arthas’ story except he was brought into the Scourge by threats of death and other unspeakable things.. He is the closest thing to a Death Knight without actually being one. He keeps his hammer by his side, and wears his black armor at all times.

Dreasil - 1st Finger of the Black hand, Lordaeron | Dreasil is well known as and self-proclaimed as the best thief in the world. He is greedy and seeks power. This is the reason why he joined the guild.. He has a dark history and has delved into forbidden magics, which ultimately led to the creation of his brother Jren. He and his brother hide themselves behind powerful illusions, trying to hide his shameful attempt to obtain more power and wealth. He wears a dark purple robe with various old runes inscribed on it and keeps an odd looking short sword by his side.

Mezkerin - 2nd Finger of the Black Hand, dead | Mezkerin was one of the captain of the pitlords. Strong yet foolish, he overestimated the hordes strength and tried the orcs far too much and was eventually destroyed by the orc uprising.

Illidan - 3rd Finger of the Black Hand, Outlands | Far back when the Burning Legion first learned of Azeroth and the Night Elves were flourishing in Kalimdor, Archimonde watched Illidan and learned of his yearning for magical energies. Archimonde told Illidan about the Guild and convinced him that joining the Guild would lead him to greater power. Unfortunatly, members can never leave the Guild, aside from death and once Illidan learned he had been tricked, it had been far too late. He is currently recovering from the battle at the ice crown and is hiding in the Outlands.

Rek'Nol - 4th Finger of the Black Hand, dead | Rek'Nol was an aspiring human mage until the Plague took his home. He fell quickly and joined the Scourge. Being the powerful mage that he was he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming undead only bolstered his magical strength. Unfortunately he got too arrogant and foolishly tried to create his own legion of undead. Obviously his attempts failed.

Marakil- 5th Finger of the Black Hand, Lordareon | Amazingly, Marakil is still alive, with all the other deaths in the Guild, he is lucky. Especially so with him being one of the lesser fingers. He is a Infernal Lieutenant and leads his demonic armies with pride. He is also one of the main attack forces. He is weak, but very cunning.

-The Black Council-
Archimonde - Dead | The death of Archimonde was the main part of the Guilds destruction, being the leader of it. Now that Archimonde is dead, the Guild has fallen apart and almost separated. Good for Azeroth, bad for the Legion.

Kil'Jaedin - unknown | Soon after Archimondes' death Kil'jaedin mysteriously disappeared. No one knows where he went, or why. Unfortunately this means there is really no one leading the Guild..

Ner'Zhul - Northrend | Ner'Zhul, although a pawn of the Burning Legion, was still very powerful and well up in the ranks of the Burning Legion. So much so that He was made one of the leaders of Azeroths' Black Guild. But, ever since Arthas converged with Ner'Zhul, no one has heard of him and his standing with the Guild. Hopefully he will try to reassemble the guild.

-The Black Scourge-
Varimathius - unknown | Evers since Varimathius joined Sylvanus, he has sent no word of his plans and/or connections with the Guild. Because you cannot leave the Guild, he is forced into loyalty. But.. With the Black Hands' decision to break all the rules and do things of their own will, Varimathius is not the only traitor.

Kel'thuzad - unknown | After Varimathius had left, Kel'thuzad disappeared with no trace. He was the cause of The Plague and had been already underway on a new, more powerful plague until Varimathius had left. Rumors are that he joined Varimathius, or that he formed his own undead scourge..

Azien - Northrend | The wily old necromancer is the last of the Black Scourge, who knows for how long. He created the Guilds' magical spies and had a hand in The Plague. He is currently trying to keep alive at his citadel in Northrend. His old robes have ancient runes inscribed all over it, while his staff keeps him up and a dark aura pulsates from it.

Terrok - Dead | Terrok was another foolish yet extremely cunning and powerful mage. He learned of the Guild and wanted to join it. But.. He didn't want to become undead and lose his mind to Ner'Zhul, so he forged the Guilds insignia on his left palm and used powerful magic to alter his appearance. He lasted quite a long while, until he met Archimonde, that is. Archimonde immediately knew Terrok was deceiving the Guild, and killed him where he stood.

-Guild Motto and Responding Motto-
Life goes on, yet death shall prevail.
Then let death come, and I shall be it's conqueror.

((Right now Stormwind is destroyed and the world is at a stand still, the Black Hand gets ready for its siege on Ironforge and all this has happened in a few months, the humans are scared as hell and the dwarves are panicking, the horde doesn’t know what to make of it [unless someone wants to rp as thrall or something..] All these characters, except for Dreasil and Erem can be used. if you'd like more info on someone I can come up with some more background. ONLY guild members know of the responding motto [excluding Terrok, but he's dead now so that doesn't matter] Terrok was human, and it is possible [I guess..] for him to be raised. Also, someone can do the same thing as Terrok, infact that's the only way of joining the Guild. Really, to join you have to either A. have the hidden insignia on your LEFT hand. Or know the responding motto. When you do either of these things, you are just.. in the guild. There aren't any people you can actually go to to join. Any character listed as unknown can be used. There is not a huge story behind everything, but I am giving a lot of descriptions to make it less open then just, open. But nevertheless it IS open. So... Ya.. Oh, and there can be additions to the Black Scourge and the Black Council, things aren’t set in stone. ))
