7 pallys and nef

ok so my guild just downed nef for the first time. woot! anyhow, we had a strat that was, IMO, somewhat odd. the group makeup was 7 pallys, 8 priests, 6 warriors, 3 locks, 2 druids, 6 mages, 3 hunters, and 5 rogues. our strat for phases 1 and 2 were pretty normal i guess, just a tank and spank while taking out the adds. phase 3 though we actually had the pallys take on an offensive role and use all our holy stuff against the UD guys that spawn when he hits 20%. holy wrath, bubble me, bubble a mage, consecrate, exorcise as needed. seemed to work quite well, and i think i need new speakers now b/c of the screaming over vent. lol.

anyhow, anyone ever used/heard of something like this being done? i'm just curious.

Some of our fastest and smoothest BWL/AQ40 runs have been when we've had 8 pallies in the raid.

Coincidence? Maybe.....or maybe not!

Heck yes. Pallies make nef's little helpers die very fast. I remember our very first nef kill. I think we had 8-10 paladins. Nef summons his minions. Everyone Lags like crazy, we all think we're doomed. Lag clears and there is a huge pile of minion corpses around the paladins. Beat Nef down and celebrate. :)

we always have pallys go tank the undead adds so mages wont get squishied. i think its a pretty normal strategy

i really cant be bothered with hordes unless theyre in front of me and inthe process of dieing, sorry. much less there strategies in boss fights.

Ya pallys with stratholme holy water and our usual bag of goodies is the normal strat for us....also Bop'ing your designated mage and the zerg goes down pretty fast.

right on. i was wondering cuz ppl were worried about only 2 druids (only 2 inervates really :D) but it went off great. and when the priest class call came down, pallys just picked up the healing.
