Question Easiest instance? (and a couple of questions too)

First of all, what is the difference between an instance and a raid? Secondly, how is the loot split between party members?

Anyways, if thats sorted out, which would be the easiest instance/raid, as I have never done this sorta thing before. Every instance people talk about are 40 man ones(is there a restriction for nr. of players?) with lvl 60 chars. So do I need a lvl 60 char anyways to take part in an instance?
Thanks.

An instance is a place only accesible through an instance portal, and can only have a set amount of players who must be in the same group. If the players aren't in the same group but enter the same portal, they will make seperate instances.

A raid is a group of over 5 players. Raids get much less xp for kills and won't get credit for killing / collecting things for non-raid quests.

Basically, there's two types of instances: group instances for 5 players, and raid instances for 10/20/40 players.

Loot rules are decided by the group / raid leader. The choices are group loot (looting goes on a round, items over a set rarity get rolled on), free for all (FFA, everyone can loot everything) and master loot (ML, the leader decides who gets the loot).

There's instances all the way from RFC (level 14-17, in Orgrimmar) and DM (level 18-21, in Westfall) up to level 60 instances. There are only raids at level 60, however.

Easiest instance... well, RFC would be easiest, however this is the first instance Horde enteres, and so few know what to do in a group. As you get higher level, the instances become harder, but players are more skilled.

stockades for lower lvls.

on lvl60 DiM east is easy as, just ur average pull kill pull kill.

hardest 5man lvl60 is strat UD side , the part where the gauntlet starts. Big big square filled with gargs and ghouls, toss in a few spiders and banshees and u got urself a certain wipe on a **** pull.

Also a hard one is LBRS, for the 'its so crowded damn im also fkin lost' factor

UD strat seems pretty easy to me, I rarely wipe there even with pugs.

Live strat seems to be the problem, adds in teh bastion and the AOE pulls in the beginning.

Also the boss MC can raise havoc.

Love tanking strat UD
MF makes pulling easy, and the ghouls are in groups of three just waiting to be swiped

Nothing beats ST for "im fkin lost" factor
After 6 times through the instance I knew the place, to the relief of all the ST groups I've been in since

I'd still say RFC is easier than stockades... you even have runners there, doesn't take much to get them all down on you with an inattentive group.
