Where are high level instances n dungeons?

Hey I was just wondering if anyone could tell me where the really difficult instances are or just even where I could find some reallly good solid gear. Anything would help I'm a Warrior/Tauren, please be specific if you can. Thanks in advance...

Assuming you're level 60:

Stratholme - Eastern Plaguelands
Scholomance - Western Plaguelands
Dire Maul - Feralas
Blackrock Spire (UBRS and LBRS) - Between Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes (accesible from either zone)
Molten Core - Inside Blackrock Depths (same location as BRS)
Blackwing Lair - Inside UBRS
Onyxia's Lair - Dustwallow Marsh
Zul Gurub - Stranglethorn Vale
Ahn'Qiraj - Silithus
Naxxramus - Eastern Plaguelands

Just to add to that:

5 man doable in any semi skilled PuG in most green pluss gear
Blackrock Depths - Blackrock mountain
Stratholme - Eastern Plaguelands
Scholomance - Western Plaguelands
Dire Maul - Feralas
Lower Blackrock Spire (LBRS) - Blackrock mountain, Can be done 10 man but it's not needed

10 man can cause problems for undergeared or underskilled groups
Upper Blackrock Spire (UBRS) - Blackrock mountain

20 man Will require a group of 20 players that work well together, generally a guild or raid group[/b]
Zul Gurub - Stranglethorn Vale
Ahn'quiraj - Silithus

40 man Ranging in difficulty (orderd easy to hard) you will need close to 40 people in decent gear to even attemp these, appart from onyxia, these should be attempted in the order shown[/b]

Onyxia's Lair - Dustwallow Marsh
Blackwing Lair - Inside UBRS

Note a lot of instances (especially the 40-man ones) have pre-requisite quests or items you must complete or gather before being able to even enter them.

UBRS: Finish LBRS first and get a key
Onyxia: Finish a quest to get a key
MC: Finish a quest to get "attuned", quest ends in BRD
BWL: Finish UBRS and get Mark of Drakkisath (i think)
Naxxramas: Finish a quest to get "attuned", might have to do with Scholomance

Anyway, these should not be attempted without a rigid guild or one HELL of a pickup group.

One key per group is enough unlike other instances mentioned where every person needs to be attuned/have key.

Nothing to do with Scholomance. The attunement is simply bought from a npc at Light's Hope Chapel, the price depends on your reputation with Argent Dawn.

Aslong as one group member has the UBRS key the whole raid can get in.

Most raid groups ask that you get attunements for MC/BWL/Ony done before joining them.

Don't bother with the Naxx one, I don't think even the luckiest fresh 60 character could get a naxx guild in time for TBC

You pick up the note that drops off the Quartermaster near the entrance to Blackrock Spire. It sends you to kill Drakk in UBRS and touch the orb behind him, attuning you to BWL.

Bought from an NPC in Light's Hope Chapel by characters who have a minimum of Honored reputation with Argent Dawn.
Honored: 5x Arcane Crystals, 2x Nexus Crystals, 1x Righteous Orb, 60g
Revered: 2x Arcane Crystals, 1x Nexus Crystal, 30g
Exalted: Free

I bought mine at Revered as I refuse to grind to Exalted with AD.

Note that you need the experience of the other 3 40-man instances to even have a shot at Naxx. MC teaches the raid how to tank-and-spank. BWL teaches scripted events. AQ40 teaches the raid how to work as a team to conquer even more rigorously scripted events, and how to kill-before-being-killed. Naxx, well, combines everything to slaughter you repeatedly.
