Managing DKP in and outta raids. Is there something besides EQDKP?

Hi there,

My name is guarrand and i have a problem

*crowd says hi*

I am in the process of creating a raiding community and i'm getting very frustrated at the hell thats called DKP.

*crowd nods in agreement*

I am trying to implement EQDKP, but got stuck at configuring CTRaidtracker and an import string thingy.

I asked several people for advice, but all came with different solutions or just ran away screaming.
Now i am NOT a scriptkiddy or 1337 programmer and to be honest i dont plan on being one anytime soon.

This shouldnt be that hard should it?... managing DKP i mean.

So in short... my question to you lovely people is:
Is there an easier alternative to EQDKP?.

I dont need huge logs of who got what and when and why...i just need a way to know who was in the raid, who was on time and in the end, what the DKP is of my members.
EQDKP tries to do to much with to many ways of configuring it imho.
Great for raiding communities that have 100 members and raid 5x a week with multiple groups.... but completely useless for small communites who raid once or twice a week with one group.

Anyone that can help me out here?

The solution depends upon your requirements ...would a low tech Excel spreadsheet system suffice?

You could have one sheet per raid and a summary sheet showing the total dkp of each character. Excel can also easily be saved as HTML for uploading to your site. You would be in complete control of the system and would understand it, so could make the information as detailed or basic as required by your guild.

The problem is that i dont know if it would be enough.

I've never been past ZG....and i'm inclinded to just skip DKP for ZG and AQ20.
To much of a hassle, to few benefits.

But in MC and other 40 man raids, there are so many variables to consider...that a watertight system is a must.
All the different types of loot and idols and herbs and ore etc...

I just dont know WHAT is the minimum req. needed for each instance

Frankly, EQDKP and the Raid tracker are dead easy...

You just have to make sure you have the modified Raid Tracker, or you won't get a DKP String.

I use AutoDKP, a program that makes you fix DKP on your computer instead of uploading it to the web.
You install the correct raidtracker (See http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/a...1-autodkp.html) and all you have to do after a raid has ended, is to log out of wow, open AutoDKP, find the RaidTracker.Lua on your computer (It tells you where it is located) and there you have it.
A few things has to be done at the start, making a point system where you choose what awards points. Time, Bosses, Items or...
Then it does the rest!

My guild uses Ni-Karma for 40 man raids and Suicide Kings for 20 man runs.
