Pricelist/economy guides?

Heya. I'm a newer player, and keep finding items I'm really having trouble pricing in the AH. Is there any kind of general guide to some of the more common and sought after blue/green items out there?

Specificly I'm wondering about a blue drop I had today, +4 str, +5 agi, +8 spirit. Can anyone ballpark this for me?

There's an addon that a lot of people use called Auctioneer, you have to set it to scan the auction house first, but it stores the information and gives you a good estimate of the value of items.

You can price it yourself by looking in AH for similar items...Look for the type, level, and then compare...Look at prices already offered, and you'll know where to price yours to sell.

ah prices are often way off the real value of an item. i would say experience is very important when trading

I would suggest looking to see what other items of a similar type and level are selling for and compare their stats and price accordingly.

But sometimes I make up outrageous prices and someone buys it out. The value of an item is only dependant upon what someone is willing to pay...

Ya also have to know what the item is made of...if you get something that has +10 strength but is a cloth item...it wont sell as high as say a +10 strength mail item. Similarily, a plate item with +10 Int isnt going to sell anywhere near the same as a +10 int cloth item (/shoo pally). Every time I roll a new character on a new server, I spend awhile just browsing the AH...seeing what the prices are for certain things...I switched servers awhile ago, I could have made ove 3000g If I was smart about it!
