AB Strategies FTW!

Does anyone have a link or know a good source for effective strategies on the AB BG? Or does anyone have a favorite maneuver they like to throw in every so often in a close battle?

I know there's no single correct answer, since the right play obviously depends as much on what your opponent does as what you do, just curious if there are some good ideas out there that may give you an edge.

Well...Healing tends to throw an advantage our way....Most folks don't want to heal, but it helps, ALOT.

I presently belong to a PVP guild, and we do AB when double honor weekends happen...(not sure what happens to these after the patch goes live...). When we have healers, we do even better than when not...

It comes down to having everyone on the same page. I much prefer premades in AB... otherwise you get a handful of people who just HAVE to go for a 5 cap... and leave your captured nodes undefended. I so hate that. Pretty basic though... capture three nodes and defend. If they overload one of your nodes with an all out zerg to take it then rotate to an undefended one and again defend.

My 2c so far, communication is King and makes all the difference.

Most effective games seem to go in one of two directions - run for BS and LM or mine, or send a large force to LM or Mine and then move on the stables or farm, depending which side you fight for. There is one strategic advantage to holding the LM over the other nodes, as the defender there can see (and call out) enemy troop movements, allowing your team to re-organize it's defense accordingly

After that, the smart play is definitely to defend what you have and attack where they are weak.

What is interesting is that folks don't realize that you get MUCH more honor by winning than you do by killing things...

And, WSG is the best BG for getting honor, IMO.

It is because you don't have to win to still accumulate a decent amount of honor as long as you cap a flag or two.

That's true, but that should change some with BC. Since you need Marks of Honor to buy items there will be a lot more reason to win. Well, hopefully anyway.
