This is my Rp question, Do warlocks, have to innately, be evil?
I prefer to RP my character as a man seeking revenge. Revenge on demons adn the undead. A man trying to use their power against them. Not because they betrayed him, but because they destroyed his home, dalaran. Since then, he has been training intensly to combat demons, and has come to the conclusion that only warlock magic can truely fight them. As he is a human, he still has some faith in the holy light, but it was faded. He still has some faith in the alliance, but that too is fading.
He is similar to (Warhammer 40k reference) the radical inquisitors from the WH 40K world. On the border of darkness, but still trying to fight the good fight.
Well firstly I dont know if there even is any "guidelines" or "rules" for what you have to be, or cannot be. And thus its for you to decide. If you want your warlock to be good, then of course he can be good. There wont ever be someone that forces you to play evil just because you choose the warlock. But I guess from a roleplayers perspective that everyone in the world wont see you as good, even if you do good deeds etc.
Warlocks have the "evil" mark, but thats just what it is, a mark. And also remember that mages are seen as "evil" in the eyes of ordinary humans, and the Paladin order thinks that mages is the spawn of some greater evil^^ so warlocks are not alone to be looked down upon.
So by all means, play your warlock as a defender of all that is right and juste in this world, noone wil stop you, noone can stop you. But in the roleplay not many will belive you!
And for clothing, your a warlock! red, black, purple, silver.

think of it as a paladin gone wrong. i mean, paladins live by the law. they do everything according to the book. Warlocks do things their own way, dress the way they want. Take matters into own hands without thinking about the consequences. A warlock turned good still loves the cries and pain of his victim and "gets off" on unorthodox methods of keeping the piece.
indeed, warlocks are shady people, keep the clothing to a dark tone. Dreadmist and nemesis especially, felheart might be something to bright with all the green, yellow and red. keep the dark tones always in the clothing.
Archarion Dawnbringer, son of Thoras Dawnbreaker, was a mage before the 3 war broke out. He was a apprenticed to the mages Peril Spellbinder, and before exile, Kel Thuzad. He was one of the mages who stayed behind to fight the cursed legion a dalaran. Despite he and his fellow mages stocism, the magical city burned. He made his final stand at the ruins of the violet citadel (hes the mage in the wow cinematic).
There his rage over took him. he threw down his banner and cursed the Magic's of the Kirin Tor, Magic that had failed to give him the power to defeat the legion. In his desperation for revenge on the demons that assailed him and his last remaining comrades, he did the unthinkable, he turned to demonic destruction magic.
