New Exploit in AV?

I was told in a AV game the Horde can take SPGY from a distance by just clicking on it? anyone know about this?

Don't know about that....but there is a path similar to the ally AV exploit to get to their final GY without going through the town :)

heard they (horde) can use farsight and cap from distance. Never seen it happen myself but person in AV BG said they called Blizz and they were aware and " workin on it"

Yes, shamans can take a GY using some sort of 'far sight'. The bastards used it today to cheat their way to a win. They capped SH gy and kept recapping FW RH from outside the fence.

The exploit is not shaman exclusive. I saw an undead rogue cap from a distance when I was guarding SPGY. A few people reported that it can be done on Alliance side, but I haven't seen it after a whole night of AV.

Yeah I'm glad I only needed 1000 honor to get the last pvp reward I wanted for pre TBC... I don't like being part of wins like that. At first I couldn't tell what was going on but you can now cap SP and AS from like 20 yards away (maybe others as well). I saw this thread right before I left and then when people started mentioning in BG chat that they hadn't lost an AV all day I put 2 and 2 together.

Started hearing about this about 2 days ago in Guild chat. Flags capping when no Horde were near it.

It continues to amaze me how people manage to discover these exploits. It seems since PvP got more popular that a lot of these exploits have been found. The really annoying thing is that every time I see someone exploiting in WSG (and it happens at least 1 in 3 BG's now) I report them but get the same automated response that player will be warned etc but have not heard of anyone being banned.

I like to think it's not a waste reporting every time I see an exploit, but if there is one thing I can not stand it's people that win through foul play.

I think it was a bug that came with the new patch... and it would probably be pretty easy to stumble across... if you happen to mouse over the flag and golden gear pops up... that's all you need.

As suspect as with many other current BG exploits that the discovery is a little more complicated and malicious than that. I do know that it's not a simple tagging from distance issue but that it is done through some broken mechanic.

I'm sensing a tendancy with you to blow things out of proportion. Our battle group went from horde losing 90% of our AV games to winning 90% of our AV games in the span of 2 days. Coincidentally we got a patch 2 days ago.

If it's that complicated and malicious intent is needed to discover it there is no way it's usage would spread that fast.
