Ghosting??

I was in a party chat when someone else posted a message that almost looked like it came from me and it was referred to as "ghosting". Is this a hack or something that can be done easily on WoW? TIA.

What they probably did was insert enough spaces at the end of what they said to make the part that looked like it was from you appear on the next line.

What Hunter said sounds sensible. They used that technique quite frequently in Guild Wars to scam/grief new players, by pretending to send messages from Community Representatives, etc. etc.

If the issue seemed ... heck, even if it wasn't malicious, I hope you took a screenie and reported it to a GM, maybe with a little note that you just want to bring it to their attention.
