Wondering best way to level.

I'm wondering, what is the best way to level?

As a druid, which method would suit me best? Would it be better to fight levels yellow to me (either a couple below, equal, or a couple above) or would it be faster to fight greens?

I'm thinking greens, because you'll spend less time/mana/energy per fight, and you won't need to heal as much (theoretically). But I'd like the opinions of others.

My character will be a Druid, as I said.

Thanks in advance.

From what I know, grinding quests are the fastest way to level. For instance:
"Kill Rattlecage Skelletons, and bring me X bone fragments."

That's just an example I pulled from my *** but not only do you get the XP (and vendor trash) from the mobs you kill, you also get the quest XP (and reward loot if available). But I do think it would be just as quick to kill yellow mobs as opposed to green ones.

Good qustion....if you can kill a good number of yellows without taking a break to eat/drink, then kill them.

If you can't, then kill greens.

I suggest downloading and installing Titanbar, its an add-on that can keep track of your xp/hr so you can analyze for yourself.

I am leveling a druid at the moment....the best part of being a druid is you can go into cat form, kill a bunch of mobs til you get low on health, turn into your normal caster-self, use one heal, change back into the cat, and continue on your way......so nearly NO downtime.

If you look through some of the leveling guides - they seem to focus on a blend of questing and grinding and work a single zone at a time. So you spend a lot of time in one area, doing the quests that are *in* that area. Stay away from the "Fetch me my toothbrush in Darnassus" when they're in Stormwind's Park type of quests.

Most of them work with monsters that are between 1 and 3 levels higher than yourself, but usually for quest rewards rather than actual kcma style grinding.

For that style the main thing to do is to minimise your downtime - much like Stigg has said. Less yack, more hack.

I have always wanted to do that quest, but can't seem to find it.

I have a lvl 38 rogue, i find grinding so far in world of warcraft is a pain for me :(, but in guildwars,diablo1,2, rf online, star wars galaxies grinding is hard but i breeze through it and i can grind all day but i dont know what wrong with me and world of warcraft, i have looked at aload of guides on power grinding, leveling yourself and they all say the same thing which i have tried and havent found effective so im going to get that titanbar to see if im actaully getting somewhere. If i am, then i will stick with it and grind my brain away lol

Do what you enjoy.

If you like grinding, then grind.

If you like questing, then quest.

If you like grouping, then run instances.

Time does fly when you are having fun so do what you enjoy.

the fastest way is to do grinding quests whibout traveling alot. and sometimes just pure grinding if you dont have quests. Grinding on green mobs, that is.

the BEST way is what rgirty said :)

Whats your First Aid at? That can really really make the difference in the enjoyability of grinding for a rogue. Its kinda pointless to just sit for 2 minutes after every few fights to regain health.
