Talents and spells

So i rolled a druid, lvl 6 now =)

I just have a quick question about talents and spells.

I can train\learn varius spells from my trainer for a fee, is this the same as using talent points? Or is it just, buying varius spells, and have nothing to do with how i build up my char?

Im new, but from what I've read I would go to the druid forum. People have examples of good builds based on what your expections of your character are.

I know now I did a bad job building my first character. Found out after I got to lvl 25.

My friend whos a lvl 70 mage told me to just get/buy everything that you can, but now with talent points its different. I'm a mage and I went with fire, dont really know which ones to put the talent points in, so I'm waiting for my friend to give me a list of which ones to insert the talent points

If your a firemage. u cant go wrong with improved fireball and flamethrowing. Further dont be afraid to experiment a little with talents. u might find a tallent u like but your friend doesnt (EG. impact has a very high love it or hate standing with most ppl). And atleast u learned a bit instead of just copying someone else)

As for wat skills to buy : Buy em all. some are highly situational and u wil hardly need it. but when u do, u need em, and it feels silly if u die cause u hadnt bouhgt them :)

Read a build guide for your class, and get some suggestions of what skills/spells you can use, and the different ways you can use them. The other thing I do is to watch other people in the game and see what they are doing. For instance, I didn't realize I could come out of bear form in the middle of a fight to heal myself...sounds obvious, but it had never occured to me til I saw someone else do it. *smacks self in forehead*

You don't have to follow a build guide or someone else's suggestions, but it may give you some ideas that you hadn't thought of before.

There are some good druid build guides here and on the WoW Europe, all are linked in the Druid forum.

OP.. at lvl 6 you have no talent points as yet. The difference is this:

Spells/Abilities are learned at your class trainer on every even level (2, 4, 6, 8 etc)
Once you reach level 10 you also start to receive 1 talent point per level to spend in one of you 3 class talent trees (N key in game).
