Download EU patch is impossible, BG downloader keeps telling "There is no next patch data available". One has to start WOW client to get patch data, then watch it to download 256MB of data and stop - after a while it say it cannot write data.
For those who are having trouble downloading the european patch, just restart the patch-downloader over and over till your finished - i know it seems silly, but trust me it works.
Seconded, this works. Go into your main program folder and in there you will find an icon called 'WoW-2.0.7.6383-to-2.0.8.6403-enGB-downloader.exe'. This is what you need to continually start and restart.
Or rather, it trails on the floor, and occasionally flickers right up next to you, making you jump out of your skin. Very strange indeed. Something tells me that the extensive testing and QA of TBC (ahem) managed to avoid the knotty question of trying all classes out properly with flying mounts :)
