Pandora's Box ((OOC))
Once upon a time ...
There was a young couple, deeply in love. They were carefree and happy, and the future seemed endlessly filled with joy. Every day the sun shone, the birds sang, and all was right with the world.
And then the Scourge descended.
The couple were torn apart. In the chaos that rained down upon the world, one was taken from this world ... and brought back.
The world has since become a darker place, even years after the defeat of the Burning Legion. The grim task of rebuilding cities, and lives, is a much longer process than their ruination.
And now danger rears up once again. In dark, hidden spaces, a terrible new plot begins to stir. A new plague dreamed of by warped, soulless minds, to end all life upon Azeroth, to secure power undreamed of.
Already, events have been set in motion, and now it is left to Fate to weave the pattern of what will happen. Whether those will be found to end the threat, or that a new, dark world will emerge from the ashes of the living.

So with some interest in this, I'm going to try starting things up here. While we will be playing characters in this, the intent is more to tell a story, than to concentrate on characters and what they can do. So characters can be from simple peasant girls to powerful wizards. This is meant to be a tragic, even dark and grim tale, and as such should not have characters who can snap their fingers to solve any problem. There should be challenges, risks of death, terrible events that the heroes fail to stop. Comic relief and times of levity are of course welcome, but the overall tone of the story is meant to a dark and brooding one.
The direction of the story is twofold. A new plot that threatens all life on Azerorth is in the works, and it's up to those on both sides to attempt to prevent such a terrible occurance. Intertwined in that is a tale of love and loss, told from the perspective of one couple, torn apart by circumstances beyond their control.
Please post character concepts here. The idea is to write a story, from multiple viewpoints, but should also flow from one post to the next. Don't try to write everything in one go, let others contribute to the goings on. Do not write for someone else's character, nor directly injure or kill them (unless there is permission, of course). We don't expect perfect spelling and grammar, but please try to make an effort to make things readable, for everyone's enjoyment.
And of course, the most important rule of all: Have fun!
I will write an introductory RP post soon, to get the plot rolling and a taste of what I have in mind, and the choice of title. This isn't set in stone, and can certainly change directions as the story develops.
