Yes, I agree. Looks like you are out of room on your hard drive.

Wow, those replies are quite funny. Wouldn't you believe that he would have checked that before hands, being such an obvious answer?

I am actually having the same problem, and before 2 or more people reply with the same comment of my computer being out of memory, I have checked. Unless 195 free gb is being out of memory than... yeah I'm out.

p.s. If you Right click->run as, a window pops up about which user account do you want to use to run this program, then it mentions the current user and how to protect you machine from unauthorized program activity. I am thinking that is the problem because maybe this smaller (256mb) one isn't signed or something.

I just did some research on this file. It has nothing to do with the memory of your computer, obviously. There is a bug in the file. The actual file is 300+ mb unless you get the zip file where it is 276mb. The 256mb is a fake, and it misplaced someones character. They were able to tweak it and get the actually installation from it (don't know how) but it ended up deleting or moving his character. Now I just started downloading the .zip file.

I have never heard of a computer not working, just because you have too much stuff on it even though you have plenty more memory. That would have to do something with the ram, deleting files wouldn't solve the problem. You would have to disable files in the startup, prob easiest way using msconfig. But "lodsa crap" on your computer would not stop the patch from installing if you had the appropriate diskspace left.

In all fairness to the posters who gave adivce....by his typing and the fact that he said "there must be an obvious answer" that would have been a great reply.

Anywho - the file in question...are you downloading it from an alternate site? Or did you try the Blizzard Downloader that starts upon log-in? If there are ANY infected files out....I wouldn't touch anything not directly from Blizz.

Blizzard posted two of those sites on their mirrored sites list. So even blizzard is supposed to support them. They list 4 sites. Two are the fake 256mb files, one the 276mb zip and one the 340mb (or something close to that) file that is an executional. I'm also sorry if I sounded argumentative, I was just looking for an answer that seemed logical.
