PS: DO NOT DO THIS as it's a rather mean prank that I like to play on anyone who got a software-issue which I can't fix.
The one sure way to get around this would be to simply reinstall WoW unless someone knows the exact path to find partial patches at.. I don't.
*Moves thread* Try here for most of the proper sequence. Mind you, if you have the US version of WoW, then just get the 2.1.0 Master patch and be done with it. No such dice on the EU version
You will probably need the 1.12 patch, the 1.12-2.0 and the 2.1-full patch. They are large downloads, but it saves you needing to use the Blizard downloader software.
Also, I recommend using the FileFront mirrors, as they're quite fast.
He just needs the 2.1.0 master patch, if he's on the US servers, precisely because it contains all the material from the previous patches, including 1.12-2.0 etc.
Well, now with the small hotfix, he'll need to get that one as well, because it's an incremental, but he doesn't need the other previous patches, if there's a master patch around.
This is the message I get when installing the 2.1.0 patch-
The file "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW-2.1.0-enUS-patch.exe" appears to be corrupt.
You may need to download this file again.
To check this installation for problems, click the "repair" button. The repair tool can automatically
fix many update errors
-the repair tool doesnt seem to fix anything as far as ive seen.
Ive downloaded 2.1.0 through the blizzard downloader and Ive also downloadeded it directly from a server.
What i do with the file after I download it from the server was I copied and pasted it to the W of W folder in program files, but at the end of the day I still got the same error message.
