Just updated PartySpotter AddOn.
So while I was at it, I tried to update its pictures too.
Previously, 1 picture was OK, and 2 pictures were not previewing properly, and I noticed that the 2 pictures that were not "working" contained "spaces" in their file names, so based on your last comment Rushter, I thought I would try an experiment.
So, I opened the pictures, Saved them to my PC, and changed their names to contain hard spaces, "_", rather than the normal space character.
I then re-uploaded the pictures while updating the AddOn.
Sadly, now NONE of my pictures can be previewed - even the very simply named "Various.jpg"
(I uploaded all pictures again, even the simply named one that didn't contain spaces)
So basically, I'm not sure its linked to the way that authors name their files before uploading - it may still be caused by how the incgamer server is re-naming them when they arrive...
I had thought that the file name of the picture would be used as annotation for the picture in the Tooltip, and when properly viewing the picture.
But for PartySpotter, the tooltip and picture annotation only show "PartySpotter".
Also, the file names for the pictures as indicated by the Browser bottom bar are showing the long number combos postfixed with the picture number.
So for PartySpotter the server names appear to be :
http://wow-cdn1.incgamers.com/118872...71985471-1.jpg
http://wow-cdn1.incgamers.com/118872...71985471-2.jpg
http://wow-cdn1.incgamers.com/118872...71985471-3.jpg
Just fyi, in case this is linked to the problem, or is a security risk revealing the name of the AddOn file on the server...?
This is getting a little annoying now for an AddOn where the picture previews are really quite important, and where none of them are working, even when the exact same picture file was working a few minutes before re-uploading
