Im on dial up and people said that i can play wow, but the patches are so huge that it would take 139 hours. I was wondering if there was anyway anyone could email them to me. my email is [b]E-mail nuked out of Privacy concerns. Ask folks to PM you for the e-mail instead. Signed, Valas[/url] if it is possible. Thanks.

also i have the 2.0.0.6080 patch right now

Hotmail mailboxes aren't limited any more?

Besides, how are you going to get it from your email (assuming it will fit) to your PC? You will still have to download it somehow..

Of course, that's the end result, but they have to be on your PC to be able to be put into the wow folder, meaning that you would have to get them from your email to your PC.

I suppose that you could be planning to download the patches from your hotmail at work, burn to a CD, then transfer to your laptop, but I don't know if that is an option for you.

Do you have any friends that you could ask to burn the patch to a CD, or bring their PC/Hard Drive to your PC?

I'm having similar problems

what I'm looking for is someone who knows where I can download the patch other than Blizzard's totally worthless site without picking up some kind of key-logger.

I did the math on the update from 2.0 to 2.3 and its going to take approximately 50 hours for me. but here is the rub:

my accelerated dial-up connects to the internet at 49kb/sec but the stupid blizzard downloader loads the files at speed that range from 6.0 kbs at best, to 0.0 kbs for extended times.

I mean, ok so I don't expect 100% efficiency but if I could even get the thing averaging 20kb/s (which my connection is more than capable of) then I could get the 700kb loaded in like 12 hours. that's acceptable. its starting it when I get ready to go to sleep then its ready the next afternoon.

50 hours is just retarded.
that's my rant and my question.

Is there a good reliable site to DL this stupid patch?

Dont even try to play on dial up. Way too much lagg and you will never get to a major city. Shattarah is a problem and mny connection is really good.

Dialup will work fine, but patches are best gotten from a high-speed source. You can download the latest patches at filefront or fileshack at any high-speed source and either burn to a cd or transfer to a memory stick (my favorite).
Dialup internet is definitely not preferable for playing wow, but is adequate. There are times when it can be a bit laggy or even times where you will be unable to play, but I've been able to level up my warlock to 70 and even join 25 man raids with dialup and hold my own. Don't expect to be top of your game though.
