Achievements

The Achievements system is new for Wrath of the Lick King. It rewards players for completing various tasks in WoW, ranging from simple things to very hard, and sometimes impossible tasks.

Here is a list of the current Achievements:

Quests

Exploration

Player vs Player

Dungeons & Raids

Professions

Professions are an optional activity that players can learn to aid them in the game. Players gain Profession Achievements by becoming efficient at their chosen skill, be it Fishing, Cooking etc. You will have to create certain items, find others, and even perform tricky tasks, such as "Catch a fish off a moving boat". Some tasks, as with the other achievement categories, players will find very hard and almost impossible, but hey, that's the point!

Reputation

Players will meet reputation achievements by working to improve their standing with various factions in Azeroth, Outland and Northrend. Some of the rewards are given by simply obtaining a high reputation with a faction or factions, others are given for purchasing or owning an item that requires a high standing.

World Events

World Events are fairs, festivals or monthly affairs that give players the chance to participate in special activities, and sometimes earn unique rewards. By completing some of the tasks available at these events, players can earn achievements.

Feats of Strength

Feats of Strength represent the past glories of Azeroth, and as such, players will find them very difficult -- if not impossible -- to earn. They’re worth no points, and unlike normal achievements, unearned Feats are not displayed in the achievements interface. Feats include old-world player-vs.-player ranks, obtaining rare mounts, special titles, and more. Feats of Strength will be awarded retroactively (that is, they’ll be immediately granted to your character if you qualify) since many of them will be impossible to earn in Wrath of the Lich King.
