Anomalus

Anomalus is a level 72 Elite Elemental boss in The Nexus. At 25% 50% and 75% hp, he creates Chaotic Rifts and becomes immune to damage. Players must kill the Chaotic Rifts during this period.

Abilities

• Rift Shield: Channels energy from the caster to nearby Chaotic Rifts, charging them with energy. The caster is immune to damage while channeling.

• Create Rift: Tears the fabric of space, opening a Chaotic Rift near Anomalus within 80 yards. It spawns Chaotic Energy Bursts which inflicts 76-587 Arcane damage to all party members in the shape of chain lightning.

• Charge Rift: Anomalus channels his chaotic energy into nearby rifts, increasing their attack range and the rate at which they create Chaotic Wraiths.

• Spark: Hurls a magical bolt at a player dealing 1674-2155 Arcane damage.

• Melee Swing: 2004-2309 Physical

• Arcane Attraction: Increases Arcane damage taken by 2000 for 10 seconds.
  
  
  

Strategies

During the boss battle, Crazed Mana-Wraiths will spawn. They deal 344-406 Arcane damage to a random player. Everyone must attack these Crazed Mana-Wraiths when they spawn. They cast arcane missiles. Return focus on Anomalus. This is a DPS race to minimize Arcane damage before the healer runs out of mana. It is an intense fight that may end in a KFC wipe if not addressed correctly. Focus all out DPS on Anomalus until he reaches 75% health. He will cast Rift Shield rendering himself immune. Immediately, he will cast Create Rift. Everyone (Including the tank) must focus fire on the chaotic rift. It will spawn Chaotic Energy Bursts inflicting up to 587 damage to all party members every 2 seconds until the rift is destroyed. Anomalus will lower his shield at full health when the Chaotic Rift dies. Rinse and repeat every time Anomalus's health decreases 25% health.

Quest

Talk to Archmage Berinand in Coldarra after completing a series of quests. Eventually he will give you the quest titled: . There is no quest to kill Anomalus, but this quest is completed at his platform. It is recommended to stand on the edge of the platform behind the spot Anomalus was standing before you engaged him. Click the Interdimensional Refabricator item in your inventory to complete the quest.

Objectives

Archmage Berinand in the Transitus Shield wants you to use the Interdimensional Refabricator near the rift in the Nexus.
