Daily Quests

Daily Quests are a special type of quest that you can do once every day, with a maximum of 25 different daily quests durng one day. The rewards usually include gold, experience and reputation with a given faction, and often give more than many other plain "repeatable" quests, as they are limited to once a day. The idea was made by Blizzard who wanted to make the grinding for gold or rep slightly more fun, so instead of having an infinite amount of repetitions, it's limited to a number per day, putting a maximum on how much a single person can do, and thereby making it easier for Blizzard to increase the overall rewards.

They work as a "middle ground" between the "hardcore grinders" and the "casuals", limiting all player's abilities to progress in given area, while still giving good rewards and being able to still have some really hard quests in addition to the hardcore grinders.

Some quests, such as Cooking, Fishing, Heroic and Dungeon daily quests usually have a "pool" of quests, of which one is determined randomly each day. If you don't finish a quest one day, you can still turn it in the next day, but it would then count as you have used up that day's Daily Quest of that type. This means that if you have a favourite quest active one day, when you don't have time, you can go get it in what little time you have and do it the next day. A good example is if you like Alterac Valley, but not WSG. One day you don't have time to do the quest, but it is AV Quest Day, so you go grab the quest... The day after just happens to be WSG day, but you use your AV quest and turn it in, having completed the one available Battleground quest for the day.

In order to get the "real" quest of the day, you have to abandon the one you are on to take "today's" quest. Please note that as the quest is determined randomly, you might have the same quest several days in a row.
