Grizzly Hills

Grizzly Hills is a forested area, with large trees covering most of the area, with snow covering higher parts. This zone is situated in South East Northrend, and is on the border with Howling Fjord and Zul'Drak.

Though this area appears quiet and peaceful, it is neither. There are many gripping storylines taking place here, including the return of some original bad guys such as the pesky goblins of the Venture Co. The evil Arugal, last seen when players defeated him in Shadowfang Keep, has been brought back by Arthas to continue carrying out his deeds in Northrend.

Towns

On the Western side of the zone, there is a Horde and Alliance base facing each other, across what looks like a PvP area on a map provided by Blizzard at BlizzCon in 2007. In the center of the zone, the Furlbogs inhabit a large fallen tree, and this is the town known as Grizzlemaw. The Iron Dwarves have a settlement in the North East of the zone called Thor Modan, which is very similar to Ironforge, which is under attack from mountain giants, the enemies of the Iron Dwarves.

Inhabitants

Amongst other minor creatures in the Grizzly Hills like bears and other forest creatures, players will find:

• Furlbogs
• Vrykuls
• Ice Trolls
• Iron Dwraves
• Venture Company (Goblins)
• Worgen

Instances

On the border with Zul'Drak, Drak'Theron Keep stands as a gate house between the two zones. Players can enter this instance to take on the evil Ice Trolls, before venturing into the large Troll zone.
