Jan'alai

Jan'alai is the Dragonhawk God in the dungeon Zul'Aman. He can be tackled straight after the Bear God Nalorakk. The fight with Jan'alai is a three phase one:

The Fight

During phase one, Jan'alai will teleport the raid to his feet every 30 seconds. 10 seconds later, he starts hurling fire balls at the ground, which land in random places. It is very important that players avoid these fire ball, because when they hit the ground they explode and cause huge amounts of damage to anything within 5 yards, probably killing anyone unlucky enough to be caught in the explosion. Jan'alai will also cast Flame Breath at a random target, which does large amounts of fire damage to the target and anyone caught in the cone of fire that comes from Jan'alai. Lastly, players will receive a stacking debuff from Jan'alai called Flame Buffet. The debuff causes initial damage and increases fire damage taken, but it is dispellable.

In the second phase od the fight, Jan'alai spawns 2 hatchers, who try to reach and hatch the eggs in the vicinity. The best strategy is to kill one of the hatchers, but let the other one hatch 3 eggs. The reason is that in phase 3, you don't want to be swamped with too many hatchlings!. Once 3 eggs have been hatched, kill the hatcher. Try to keep half the group attacking Jan'alai, the other half dealing with the hatchlings, which have about 6k hitpoints. It is best to have dealt with about 20 eggs before getting Jan'alai to 35%, which is when phase 3 begins.

When Jan'alai's hitpoints reach 35%, he hatches all eggs that haven't yet been opened. Kill the hatchlings as soon as possible. Once they have been dealt with, focus back on Jan'alai. At 25%, he will enrage, increasing his attack speed and damage caused by 50%. It is important to get him down quickly here, so save all cooldowns for this phase.

Enrage	Increases Jan'alai's damage output by 50%	This occurs when Jan'alai has 25% hitpoints left. As well as increased damage, his attack speed increases by 50%.
