Lordaeron

Lordaeron is the human kingdom that was lost during the Third War to the Scourge after Prince Arthas betrayed his father Terenas and razed Capital City (sometimes referred to just as "Lordaeron") as well as the lands to create his undead army. Before that, Lordaeron was the peak of civilisation, the seat of the Alliance and humanity's military force. It was the most powerful of the Eastern Kingdoms, rivaled perhaps only by the Kingdom of Azeroth, before the First War. Now Sylvanas Windrunner sits on the throne in the Undercity, the capital of the Forsaken, in the catacombs beneath the Ruins of Lordaeron.

The Northern continent of the Eastern Kingdoms is sometimes referred to as "Lordaeron," as are the former Kingdom and the city.
