Introduction

Nalorakk

When players first enter Zul'Aman, they may speak to the NPC Harrison Jones, (a nod to Harrison Ford, who played Indiana Jones in the films of the same name), an archaeologist in search of treasure within Zul'Aman. Jones begins a timed event, meaning that the raid group must kill Nalorakk within 20 minutes.

Nalorakk is the Bear God, and is usually the first boss encountered in Zul'Aman, however, players are not required to accept the timed quest, and may take bosses in different orders.

Nalorakk appears in Troll form with a Bear head, and changes into a Bear during the encounter with him.

The Fight

If players take up the challenge to kill Nalorakk in 20 minutes, they must chase him up a series of platforms before engaging in battle and defeating him in the allotted time.

For the first phase, Nalorakk fights in Troll form but in the next phase, he switches to Bear form. This process is repeated until he dies.

It is commonly believed that at least 2 tanks should be present to tackle Nalorakk, a humanoid to fight him in his Troll form, and a Bear tank for tanking the boss whilst he is in Bear form. At the end of each phase, before he changes form, the tank who will be taking him next should use their Taunt ability to focus the damage on themselves.

Nalorakk uses three abilities in his Troll form, one is Surge; He will randomly charge a raid member which knocks them back, along with any other party members within 10 yards, and also causes damage. Another one is Mangle, this increases any bleed effects damage to the target by 100%. Lastly, Brutal Swipe. This is a deadly ability that causes a huge amount of damage that spreads out between any one that is hit by it, meaning that the more players that get hit, the less damage they will individually take. If only 1 player takes all the damage, it will kill them. It is advisable that at least 2 or 3 players take the damage.

Nalorakk has several abilities, which he uses depending on his form at the time. Below is a table showing the special abilities that are used:
