The Ravasaur mount was introduced in Wrath of the Lich King patch 3.2: Call of the Crusade. It is a very fast mount mostly aimed for players level 40 or above. The Ravasaur trainer Mor'vek is a troll found southeast of the Ungo'ro Crater -- at the north of the waterfall located at the entrance to Un'Goro Crater from the Tanaris path.

Quests

Ravasaur Trainer Mor'vek offers a few quests that will set you into a 20 days challenge to acquire your Ravasaur mount. As soon as you complete the first two quests, you trigger a daily quest system to feed your Ravasaur hatchling in order to grow up and be domesticated.

Toxic Tolerance

The Toxic Tolerance quest requires you to get poisoned 20 times in order to become resistant to the Venomhide Ravasaur's natural poison. That way you will be able to mount it without risk to your character's life.

The Venomhide Ravasaur can only be found in an area of Un'Goro Crater. You can find them on the river bank and pools straight north of the Ravasaur Trainer. Not too far.

If you are level 40-60, it is recommended that you have a healer friend to help you out. The idea is not to kill these Venomhide Ravasaurs. The idea is to get poisoned by them 20 times. This process can take from 5-10 minutes in which you will get a lot of damage constantly. Therefore if you aren't a healing class, you should have someone assist you. If you are above lvl 70, you can survive the ordeal.

First thing to do before engaging the Venomhide Ravasaur is to take off your gear. Most importantly, remove your weapon and/or shield. You don't want to kill them too fast. Use your fist to fight it. They have 2681 health.

You may notice after the first or two venom stacks on you, they don't poison you. There is an odd mechanic behind this. When you engage the ravasaur, let it poison you. Stop attacking completely and stand still, allowing it to attack you. Wait until the poison cooldown wears off. Then start punching him until it poisons you again. Stop attacking completely and stand still. Rinse and repeat the process until you get 20/20 poison.

If for any chance you don't seem to get him to poison you, or if you are about to kill it, you can alternatively run away until it breaks aggro on you, and start again afresh. Again, this quest can take up to 10 minutes or longer depending on different factors.

Venomhide Eggs

Venomhide Ravasaur Egg
A very simple quest. You should return to the place where you fought the Venomhide Ravasaurs. Throughout the ground you can find nests. You can find the eggs there. They have sparkles to allow you to identify them from afar. They are bigger in comparison with any other eggs found in the nest. And have green spots. You only need to collect four of them.

After you deliver the eggs to the Ravasaur Trainer Mor'vek, he will give you an item to summon your Ravasaur Hatchling. It looks like a tiny baby Ravasaur pet. You must summon it to get a new quest titled: They Grow Up So Fast. From now on you must feed and raise your Ravasaur Hatchling to become your mount.

Daily Quests

The following daily quests are random for each day. You have to complete 20 of these daily quests to obtain your Ravasaur Mount.

They Grow Up So Fast

This quest begins the low process of raising your baby Ravasaur Hatchling into a young adult Ravasaur that will become your mount. This daily quest will last approximately 20 days. You must bring 20 Runecloth and 20 Rugged Leather. These can be obtained from the Auction House. The Rugged Leather can be farmed by players with skinning profession from Stegodon lvl 52-53 Elite and Diemetradon and Frenzied Pterrordax lvl 51-54 in Un'Goro Crater, or from Stonelash Pincer, Stonelash Flayer and Stonelash Scorpid in Silithus.

The other material you must bring Ravasaur Trainer Mor'vek is 20 Venomhide Baby Teeth. You can only acquire one single Venomhide Baby Teeth per day after you complete the daily quest titled: Hungry, Hungry Hatchling. In short, this will take you 20 days to complete in order to acquire your fast-speed Ravasaur Mount.

Hungry, Hungry Hatchling

You must first click the Ravasaur Hatchling item in your inventory bag to summon it. The Ravasaur Hatchling will start a quest titled: Hungry, Hungry Hatchling. You should ride toward the south-center area, just south of the Fire Plume Ridge. There you will find plenty of Diemetradon, Pterrordax and Stegodon. All these mobs drop Fresh Dinosaur Meat. Kill 15 of any combination of these mobs. Once you have all 15 pieces of Fresh Dinosaur Meat summon your Ravasaur Hatchling.

Open your inventory bag, and click the Fresh Dinosaur Meat icon while your Ravasaur Hatchling is selected. You will see a piece of meat graphic tossed at the Ravasaur Hatchling with a chomp soundclip at the end. Repeat the process until the quest is completed. At the end, you will be given one Venomhide Baby Teeth.

The quest titled: They Grow Up So Fast will automatically update onscreen as 1/20 Venomhide Baby Teeth. From now on this becomes a daily. The Ravasaur Hatchling won't have any quests for your until the server resets (3am EST / 12am PDT).

Searing Roc Feathers

Very straightforward quest. Go up the ramp southeast of Un'Goro Crater to reach Tanaris. Go north of the Thistleshrub Valley. Wherever you see giant skeletons is various Searing Roc birds about. Kill them, and loot the feathers. Then talk to your Ravasaur Hatchling. Return the next day for the next daily quest.
