With Patch 2.4, which is the last true content patch before the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, we have been introduced to the Sunwell Isle. This magical island that has been the High Elves' (now calling themselves Blood Elves) source of eternal life for the last several thousand years. As Arthas corrupted the old Sunwell, Kael'Thas and his Blood elves have used demonic powers and captured Naruu in order to feed their need for magic.

On the formely sacred island, strange things are happening, and the Shattered Sun Offensive - a combined force of Aldor and Scryer - is there to stop it (with the help of yourself, of course). In the new instances of Magister's Terrace (5 man) and Sunwell Plateau (25 man raid), you will fight Prince Kael'Thas and Kil'Jaeden.
